What is Executive Function Coaching?

My coaching process reduces anxiety, frustration, and overwhelm for both parents and students by teaching organization, planning, and time management through a strength-based approach. We help students and families feel empowered and prepared to navigate life. We also offer other support services for parents who are just beginning to navigate this journey and need advice and coaching around their student’s needs.

As a result of our one-on-one coaching, students feel less stressed out and anxious—together we build a sense of capability, belonging and confidence.

Planning and Support

o Support how each student learns and thinks differently to help them feel less misunderstood.
o Helps each student to learn, adapt and thrive by providing the optimum support and guidance in helping them stay focused, set goals, get started and stay on task to complete activities.

Skill Building

o Provide skills, tools and guidance coaching to help students try new ways of doing things, adjusting techniques to what works best for the individual to make them successful. Students learn to build their personal tool kits and enjoy positive experiences that change their mindset and foster successful habits and routines.

Improving Memory

o Listen, guide and provide a safe environment that helps students find themselves and build on their strengths. The student learns new ways to organize and prioritize tasks including life routines and school activities.  My clients learn to tell their personal story and become the best version of themselves.

Accountability

o Provide accountability for the student to check in, review what worked, what did not work well, and reflect on how to improve and/or pivot to different methods of learning.
o Provide students a mechanism to apply themselves with a neutral party who cares and helps them throughout the process—developing a better relationship with family and friends.

Why EF Coaching with Anna?

Strive for Success:

Collaboration / Holistic Growth - Executive Function Skills, Coaching, and success with goals do not happen overnight, and it is important to develop a strong partnership with the student, parent and team(s) in working together to help develop these skills, obtain the appropriate supports and foster positive experiences that can be applied across multiple settings in small increments.

Coaching Model:

1) Executive Function Coaching - My distinct approach empowers students to build their own personal toolkit that enables them to both develop the skills they need to succeed and visualize their growth and path to success.

I help students gain independence and become their best selves as they overcome challenges & build on each success. I teach skills that allow them to envision their desired goals, become self-motivated to utilize tools available to them, and fully participate in their growth across all settings of life.
I help students and parents create a strong partnership as they work together to develop the skills and experiences each student needs to succeed.

2) Consider me your partner – When raising a child with limited executive function skills, often parents don’t know where to go for support. They may just need someone to listen, guide and support them. Where do we start? How do we navigate the education system? How do we map a plan for success? I am here to help you master all the nuances.
